1. Overview
GT Dictionary is an English vocabulary and pronunciation learning product available on the web and as an iOS app. We collect only what we need to provide lookup, practice, subscriptions, notifications, and support.
2. Information we collect
- App activity: words looked up, practice progress, saved words/stacks, and settings preferences.
- Audio: microphone recordings when you use pronunciation or speaking features. Audio may be sent to our servers and pronunciation-analysis providers to score or improve your practice.
- Device information: basic device and app version information needed for reliability and support.
- Push notifications: a device push token if you enable notifications (iOS).
- Purchases: subscription status processed by Apple and RevenueCat. We do not receive your full payment card details.
- Support messages: content you send us by email or in-app feedback.
3. How we use information
- Provide definitions, practice, pronunciation feedback, and personalized review
- Operate subscriptions and restore purchases
- Send optional learning or reminder notifications you enable
- Improve reliability and fix bugs
- Respond to support requests
4. How we share information
We share information only with:
- Service providers that help us run the product (for example hosting, AI or pronunciation processing, and subscription management such as RevenueCat)
- Apple for App Store purchases
- Legal authorities when required by law
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Tracking
We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising. We do not use the App Tracking Transparency identifier for ads.
6. Data retention
We keep data only as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal or accounting needs, or resolve support issues. You can ask us to delete data we hold by emailing contact@gtdictionary.com.
7. Children
GT Dictionary is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 for advertising or sale. Parents who believe a child under 13 has provided personal information can contact us to request deletion.
8. International processing
Data may be processed on servers outside your country, including by our service providers.
9. Your choices
- Deny microphone or notification permission in device settings
- Cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings
- Contact us to request access to or deletion of data we control
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when we do.
